Let's talk
Community.

Giving back to the community and supporting local causes has always been an essential part of my values both personally and professionally. I'm proud to say that through a series of local events over the past five years we have $175,000 for Birchway Niagara & the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. These organizations support local survivors and raise awareness about the importance of addressing domestic violence on a national level.

We have some exciting events lined up for this year... Save the dates for:
March 6 - Line Dancing
May 22 - Music Trivia
July 10 - Hopefully-you-know-what.

Music Trivia

Kahoots! Edition

Hosted on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025

Get ready for a night of tunes, trivia, and total fun—all for a great cause! Join us for 5 rounds of music-themed trivia using the Kahoot! app, where you'll compete individually to see who knows their throwbacks, guilty pleasures, and top hits best.

There will be two winners per round, and yes—each winner will walk away with a designer purse or gift basket - you choose!! There will be prize packages for both men & women, everyone is welcome at this event!

Here’s How This Event Will Run:
We’re using the Kahoot! app for trivia. Each round is fast-paced and interactive—questions pop up on the main screen, and you answer from your phone. Points are awarded for correct answers and how quickly you respond.

Please download the Kahoot! app before the event—Wi-Fi will not be available at the venue.

Everyone plays individually, but you’re welcome to whisper with your tablemates (just know that only one purse will be awarded per winner, so team up at your own risk! If your spouse or bestie is a music trivia champ, bring them & team up to takeover!).

Tickets are sold in tables of 4 or 8 – perfect for friend groups, couples, coworkers, or brave soloists looking to dominate the dancefloor of trivia.

All proceeds from this event support Birchway Niagara and the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, helping women and children rebuild their lives after abuse.

Whether you're a trivia buff, music lover, or just in it for the pizza and purses, this night hits all the right notes!

BONUS: Come dressed up as your favourite band or artist for a chance to go in a bonus draw!

$40/ticket – includes 3 slices of pizza + a chance to win a designer purse door prize (donated by Realtor Carlie!)

Note: This is a 19+ event, there will be a cash bar for drinks.

How Kahoot! Works

- Everyone wishing to play must download the app in advance. You're welcome to team up and play as a couple, trio or table, however only one purse will be awarded to the winning name.

- The question/music clip will be played on the big screen, with 4 answers to choose from..

- on the app in your phone, you'll see the 4 colour choices to correspond to the 4 answers on the board.

- Answer quick as those with the quickest, correct answer will score more points. - After each question, a leaderboard pops up showing who’s in the lead.

- The top two scores from each round, will go home with a designer bag or prize package (winners choice, prizes for men & women).

The Italian hall will have 3 large screens at the perimeter of the room, ensure you bring your glasses & a fully charged phone to be able to enjoy this evening.

In October 2025, I’ll be heading to the other side of the globe to participate in the Cambodia Challenge for Shelter!

This will be my 3rd trek for Shelter & I need your help! For 5 days, I’ll be trekking alongside like-minded colleagues from coast to coast all in support of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. While my trek towards the picturesque temples of Angkor Wat will be immensely rewarding, it will not be easy! Days will be long, hot, and humid and jet lag will be intense. I will be going without the comforts of home, sleeping in a small tent, using rustic bathroom facilities and unplugging completely from cell service and technology. For those that know me, I am not a camper, I don't love sweating & the thought of being disconnected from my phone is a feat in & of itself.

As with all of my previous trekking, to be eligible to take part, I will pay my own trek and travel expenses and must raise at least $6,000 for the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. Over the last 5 years, I have raised over $175,000 through local events for this cause & for 2025 I will be setting a goal of $60,000. Of the funds I raise, 80% will be directed to our local shelter - Birchway Niagara and 20% will fund national domestic violence prevention programs.

I know the adventure ahead will test me both physically and emotionally, but I’ve raised my hand because I believe that a house is only a home when the people who live there feel safe. As I face this challenge, I will draw strength knowing that every dollar I raise and every kilometre I walk will help make it easier for women and children to find the safety, hope and healing they deserve.

Will you join me by making a donation towards my fundraising goal?

Please click 'Donate Now' on the right-hand side of the page to help me reach my fundraising goal!

Thank you for your support! Please note: The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation issues tax receipts in February for all donations of $20 or more made in the previous calendar year.

Birchway Niagara

In 2023 when Women’s Place changed its name to Birchway Niagara. While the core of Birchway’s services continue to protect and empower women and children impacted by abuse, the new inclusive name represents a growing understanding that abuse is an issue that impacts everyone. It is also a problem that must be solved by everyone. As Birchway evolves and grows, we will work toward addressing the root causes of abuse, engaging members of our community regardless of their race, age, gender, sexuality or economic status.

RLP Shelter Foundation

Table fees from vendors, entrance fees, and raffle ticket proceeds, will all go towards Operation $29k. Through this initiative, 80% of the funds raised will be used locally to support these organizations. The remaining 20% of the funds will be directed towards national campaigns and education efforts aimed at ending domestic violence.
